Following the tragic shooting of a Philadelphia police officer, the city has witnessed an extraordinary outpouring of support, both in terms of the number of contributing groups and the total reward amount.
The Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police has officially announced an impressive $180,000 reward.
Initially, FOP Lodge 5 and Delco FOP Lodge 27 pledged $30,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspects. As the day progressed, an array of organizations, including five unions, numerous restaurants, elected officials, and various law enforcement support groups, such as the Bucks County FOP, New Jersey State FOP, PA State Police Troopers Association, University of Pennsylvania Police FOP, and Temple Police FOP, as well as anonymous donors, joined in to bolster the reward fund.
City leaders have expressed their deep emotions of “anger, devastation, and heartbreak” in the wake of this tragic incident.
