Apple swiftly released iOS 17.1.2 to fix critical vulnerabilities identified in the previous version.

The update, addressing two security exploits in WebKit, urges immediate installation for all users. Initially slated for new features, iOS 17.2 was postponed due to pressing security concerns.

The update, accessible through the iPhone’s settings, specifically tackles issues related to potential data exposure and arbitrary code execution.

Notably, the update lacks additional features. Law enforcement alerts users about the default ‘NameDrop’ feature in iOS 17.1.1, cautioning against inadvertent sharing of contact information.
