In the heart of Rittenhouse Square, a unique dining experience awaits as science fiction meets noodles at Chika, a late-night ramen bar opening its doors at 1526 Sansom St. Drawing inspiration from the iconic 1982 film “Blade Runner,” Chika’s basement space mirrors the film’s memorable noodle bar, with neon pink and blue aesthetics reminiscent of the sequel “Blade Runner 2049.”

Chika offers a blend of bar seating for 14, tables, banquettes, and a private dining area. Chef Dean Leevongcharoen, known for his tenure at Ramen Bar in University City, has crafted a menu featuring five ramen options with customizable spice levels and toppings. Customers can also savor sushi, dumplings, seaweed salad, and mochi.

The bar boasts an array of sakes, wines, beers, and cocktails with names paying homage to the “Blade Runner” universe, such as “The Deckard” and “The Roy Batty.” Chika’s dining hours start with dinner, with lunch and brunch services scheduled for a later date. The restaurant will be open from 4 p.m. to midnight on Tuesdays through Thursdays, extending to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.

As you indulge in delectable dishes, keep an eye out for replicants – Chika’s “Blade Runner” ambiance promises an unforgettable dining experience.
