Philadelphia authorities are investigating a car crash that escalated into a fatal shooting on Friday night. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on the 3300 block of Emerald Street in Port Richmond.
A 24-year-old man was behind the wheel when his car collided with another vehicle. Subsequently, the driver of the second vehicle exited and shot the 24-year-old twice in the back.
Following the shooting, the victim struck another parked vehicle before exiting his car and fleeing up the street. He ultimately collapsed on the roadway and was later pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital after being transported by the police.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and no weapons have been recovered in connection with the incident.
