The National Right to Work Foundation (NRWF) is extending its fight against Starbucks unions to Philadelphia.

Filing a petition for decertification on behalf of employee Michael Simonelli at the Ninth and South Streets Starbucks, NRWF aims to dismantle Workers United. Previously successful at Good Karma Cafe, NRWF faces legal hurdles due to alleged anti-union actions by Starbucks, with no decertification efforts reaching an election.

The NLRB recently dismissed a case in Buffalo, citing pending unfair labor practice allegations. Starbucks reports 19 unionized stores seeking decertification, emphasizing the personal choice of union representation. Over 9,000 Starbucks employees across the U.S. have unionized, with ongoing unionization efforts at nine stores nationwide.
