Philadelphia mourns the loss of Bernard Gribbin, a dedicated SEPTA bus operator tragically shot and killed on the job. With more than a decade of service, Gribbin’s memory is cherished by friends, family, and the SEPTA community.
A wake is scheduled for Sunday night and Monday, followed by Gribbin’s funeral service on Tuesday, as organized by the transport workers union. SEPTA advises passengers to anticipate delays on several bus routes during these services.
The affected bus routes include: H, XH, L, 2, 4, 16, 18, 22, 23, 26, 32, 35, 39, 47, 53, 55, 56, 57, 61, 62, 77, 80, 89, and BSO.
In connection with the tragic incident, 21-year-old Zhontay Capers has been charged with murder and other related offenses.
